N'Dambi LIVE!!!!!!!

N'Dambi will be performing Live @ the Soul Garden on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the August Wilson Center in downtown Pittsburgh. Prepare yourself for an epic live show featuring one of soul music's great talents.

Biography

N'dambi is the ninth of eleven children born to a Baptist minister and missionary. Her family is from Memphis, Tennessee, but she and her siblings were reared in Dallas. Her father was both a minister and singer in an quartet group, which led to N'dambi becoming enamored with singing. She got her professional start singing with Gaye Arbuckle, a local gospel singer. She toured with her from age 18 to 20. Shortly thereafter she sang as background singer and collaborated with fellow Texan Erykah Badu.

N'dambi delivered her debut solo CD Little Lost Girl Blues in 1999. Since then she has released the two-disc set Tunin' Up & Cosignin', which focused more on a live and jazzy sound and contains new versions of several songs from her debut. After this, in 2005, she released A Weird Kind Of Wonderful, which contained funkier and more rock-influenced tracks. It was released in Japan only, which made it a very sought-after collector's item on ebay. These projects were released independently by N'dambi. Around 2005, she has collaborated with R&B singer Kiete Young Her debut album for the Stax label is called Pink Elephant and was released in 2009.

Those standards include, but are not limited to, good people, good drinks, perfect timing and great music. Lets talk about Mick Boogie...

About a year ago my dude Marshall asked me to spin his 30th birthday party in Chicago (BIG SHOUTS TO Chi-Town). He told me that it would be me, Dj Kwest-On (what up Matt) and one of his peeps from college. I said cool... I'll be there. So I get to the party and the third DJ was Mick Boogie?! Mixtape DJ Extraordinaire, Party rocker to the A-list, Cleveland Cavs showman and personal Dj to Lebron James!!!! I'm like yo! Let a brotha know when he gotta spin before Mick Boogie. So, needless to say I had to put on a little show before this dude went on, but this dude stepped right up to the challenge. At that moment I realized that this dude is gonna help me celebrate my birthday in Pittsburgh...

NYC-based Mick Boogie has quickly become one of the America's most in-demand DJ talents, expanding his DJ brand to include A-list events in NYC, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Paris, Hong Kong and more.
All about pleasing the crowd, you’ll always hear a diversity of music at a Mick Boogie event… from 80s, rock & soul to disco, house & electro and of course, the hip-hop and mash-ups you’ve come to expect from Mick’s energetic performances. As more and more celebrities come calling for his services, Mick can be found spinning at parties for celebrities such as Will Smith, Lebron James, Serena Williams, Robin Thicke, Jay-Z and more.
